Sign-in & Google SSO
The organization’s sign-in method determines how its members authenticate. The current choices are Email and password and Single sign-on (SSO) with Google.
Roles, individual capabilities, account status, and seats continue to control access after sign-in. Using Google does not grant additional ERP permissions.
Email and Password
When an administrator creates a user, the confirmation dialog offers Send account activation link to the user.
- With this option selected, a new user receives a secure link to verify their email and choose a password.
- With it cleared, a new account receives a temporary password that is displayed to the administrator after creation.
- An existing ERPX identity keeps its existing credentials when it is linked to another organization.
For an unverified account, an administrator can use Resend Activation Email from the user row. A verified account that still needs a password can show Resend Password Setup Email instead.
Google Sign-in
For an organization configured for Google SSO, create accounts with their company Google email addresses. New SSO accounts are verified automatically. The creation dialog offers to send Google sign-in instructions; it does not create a user-facing password or send an activation link.
Members use Sign in with Google and choose the account matching their ERPX email and company domain. An account must still be active and meet the applicable role and seat requirements.
Request a Sign-in Change
Organization sign-in settings are managed by the ERPX platform administrator. Your organization’s administrator should contact ERPX support to request Google SSO, a change of sign-in method, or a correction to the configured company domain.
After the setup is confirmed, the organization’s administrator can create user accounts with the appropriate company email addresses and provide the sign-in instructions described above.
Troubleshooting
| Situation | What to check |
|---|---|
| A new user did not receive an email | Check whether account setup instructions were selected and review the account’s verification or password-setup state |
| A Google account cannot sign in | Check that the selected Google account matches the ERPX email and that the account is active; ask your organization’s administrator to confirm Google SSO is enabled |
| A user signs in but sees only the employee portal | Check their roles and allocated seat |
| The sign-in method or company domain needs changing | Ask your organization’s administrator to contact ERPX support |
| A former SSO user needs a password | Ask your organization’s administrator to confirm the current sign-in method and, if email/password is enabled, review the account’s password-setup status |
