Sales Teams
Go to: CRM → Setup → Sales Teams
A sales team record is either a group (a region, a branch, a squad) or a person (an individual seller). Both live in the same tree, so the hierarchy shows who reports into which part of the sales organisation.
Sales teams are maintained in CRM but consumed by Sales — you allocate members with a contribution percentage on the Customer record and on the Sales Order. See also Sales Team in the Sales module.
Structure
Every organisation has a hidden root node that all teams hang off. It is created automatically and cannot be edited or deleted. Leaving Parent Team empty attaches a record to that root.
Who can be a sales team member
Only active users holding the Sales Manager, Sales Officer, or Admin role can be selected, and a user can belong to only one sales team record. If the person you need is missing from the dropdown, grant them one of those roles first — see Roles.
A member (non-group) record must have a user. Groups may be left unlinked.

Creating a sales team member
Open the screen
Go to CRM → Setup → Sales Teams and click New.
Name the record
Member Name is required and must be unique.
Choose the parent and type
Pick a group as the Parent Team, or leave it empty to sit under the root. Tick Is Group for a container; leave it unticked for a seller — then User becomes mandatory.
Link the user
Select the ERPX user. Only eligible users appear.
Set territory and commission
Choose the Territory covered and enter a Commission Rate.
Add targets (optional)
Open the Targets tab and plan by item group and fiscal year.
Save
Sales team targets
Same shape as territory targets: Item Group, Fiscal Year, Target Qty, Target Amount, and a monthly Distribution. Item group, fiscal year, and distribution are required on every row.

Editing, moving, and deleting
A team cannot be its own parent or move under one of its own descendants. Is Group cannot be switched off while children exist, and a record with children cannot be deleted. The root node cannot be modified or deleted. Deleting a member also deletes its targets.
Everyday tips
- Create the groups first, then add people under them — it saves re-parenting later.
- Give every member a territory; it makes regional pipeline reporting meaningful.
- If a user cannot be selected, the cause is almost always a missing role, not a missing employee record.
