Tax and Charges
Go to: Financials → Setup → Tax and Charges

Invoice tax and charge rows also select an account. Choose the liability, receivable, expense, or other account that matches the organization’s tax treatment.
A Tax Type used for withholding (WHT/TDS/PAYE) is still created here, but it can only be applied through an invoice’s dedicated WHT/TDS/PAYE card — not through the regular invoice Taxes table. See Withholding Tax (WHT/TDS/PAYE).
Add a tax or charge
- Click Add Tax and Charge
- Enter the name shown to users
- Choose whether the row is a Tax or Charge
- For a tax, select the Tax Type and applicable Country
- Enter the default Rate
- Add a clear description or compliance note
- Save, then test the rule on a draft invoice before live use
ERPX applies configured rates and accounts; it does not decide your legal tax treatment. Finance should verify rules against current local requirements.
After adding a rule, confirm its label, rate, and account on both the invoice row and the calculated totals. Correct the setup before approving a document when the result is unexpected.
