1. Shift Type
Go to: HR → Shift & Attendance → Shift Type
| Field | What it means |
|---|---|
| Name | e.g. Morning, Night, General |
| Start / End Time | Shift window |
| Working Hours / Break | Expected work and break minutes |
| OT / Late / Early tolerances | Rules for overtime and punctuality |
| Auto Attendance | Build attendance from check-ins when enabled |
Status: Draft → Approved → Inactive
2. Shift Assignment
Go to: HR → Shift & Attendance → Shift Assignment
Link an employee to a shift type for a period (Start / End Date). Use Bulk Shift Assignment for many employees.
Status: Draft → Approved → Cancelled
3. Attendance
Go to: HR → Shift & Attendance → Attendance (or Mark Attendance for bulk)
| Field | What it means |
|---|---|
| Employee / Date / Shift | Who, when, which shift |
| Status | Present / Absent / Half Day / On Leave |
| Check-in / Check-out | Times |
| Late / Early | Flags and times |
| Leave Type | When status is On Leave / Half Day |
| OT / Short Hours overrides | Manual adjustments that can affect payroll |
If auto attendance is enabled on the shift, Employee Check-ins can create or update attendance. Check-ins here are time punches — not the Lifecycle “Check-ins” questionnaires.
4. Employee Check-ins
Go to: HR → Shift & Attendance → Employee Check-ins
Each row is a punch: employee, timestamp, IN or OUT, and source (manual, QR/barcode, scheduler). Optional device / location fields may appear depending on how you collect punches.
For shop-floor and kiosk attendance, use ERPX Desktop — a Windows app with badge/QR scanning, dedicated kiosk mode, offline capture, and auto-sync. Punches from the desktop app appear in this list alongside web and manual check-ins.
Download the installer and certificate from texinnova.com/erpx . See the HR overview for a short capability summary.
5. Timesheet
Go to: HR → Shift & Attendance → Timesheet
Record hours against activities (and optionally projects/tasks).
Workflow: Draft → Submitted → Approved / Rejected / Revision
Suggested daily flow
- Employees punch IN/OUT (or HR marks attendance)
- Review exceptions (late, absent, missing punches)
- Approve timesheets if you use them
- Run payroll using attendance-sensitive components when configured
