Employee Lifecycle

Manage the complete journey of an employee — from onboarding through training, skill development, and offboarding.

Onboarding

1. Employee Onboarding Template

Go to: HR → Employee Lifecycle → Employee Onboarding Template

Create reusable onboarding checklists that define all tasks to be completed when a new employee joins.

Open Onboarding Template Form

Navigate to HR → Employee Lifecycle → Employee Onboarding Template and click New.

Configure the Template

FieldDescription
Template NameName for this onboarding template
DepartmentOptional — restrict to a specific department
DesignationOptional — restrict to a specific designation

Add Checklist Items

In the Onboarding Checklist table, add all tasks:

ActivityTask description (e.g., Issue laptop, Set up email account)
RoleThe role responsible for completing this task
RequiredWhether this task is mandatory for onboarding completion

Save

Click Save.


2. Employee Onboarding

Go to: HR → Employee Lifecycle → Employee Onboarding

Create an onboarding record for a new employee using a template.

Open Employee Onboarding Form

Navigate to HR → Employee Lifecycle → Employee Onboarding and click New.

Fill in Details

EmployeeSelect the new employee
Date of JoiningEmployee’s joining date
TemplateSelect the onboarding template to apply

Track Progress

Each checklist item can be marked as complete by the responsible person. The system tracks overall onboarding completion.

Save

Click Save.


Offboarding

3. Employee Offboarding Template

Go to: HR → Employee Lifecycle → Employee Offboarding Template

Create reusable offboarding checklists for when an employee leaves the organization.

Open Offboarding Template Form

Navigate to HR → Employee Lifecycle → Employee Offboarding Template and click New.

Add Checklist Items

Add all exit tasks: collect assets, revoke system access, complete exit interview, clear dues, etc.

Save

Click Save.


4. Employee Offboarding

Go to: HR → Employee Lifecycle → Employee Offboarding

Create an offboarding record for a departing employee.

Open Employee Offboarding Form

Navigate to HR → Employee Lifecycle → Employee Offboarding and click New.

Fill in Details

FieldDescription
EmployeeSelect the departing employee
Last Working DateEmployee’s last day
TemplateSelect the offboarding template to apply

Track Completion

Mark each task as complete as the offboarding progresses.


Training

5. Training Program

Go to: HR → Employee Lifecycle → Training Program

Training programs are high-level training plans that group related training events.

Open Training Program Form

Navigate to HR → Employee Lifecycle → Training Program and click New.

Configure the Program

Training ProgramName of the training program
Training Program TypeCategory (e.g., Technical, Soft Skills)
Trainer NameName of the trainer
Trainer EmailContact email

Save

Click Save.


6. Training Event

Go to: HR → Employee Lifecycle → Training Event

Training events are individual sessions within a training program. Employees are enrolled in training events.

Open Training Event Form

Navigate to HR → Employee Lifecycle → Training Event and click New.

Fill in Event Details

FieldDescription
Training ProgramLink to the parent training program
Event NameName of the event/session
DateDate of the training
LocationWhere the training takes place
TrainerPerson conducting the training

Add Participants

Add employees to the event’s participant list.

Save

Click Save.


7. Training Feedback & Result

After a training event, collect feedback from participants and record results:

  • Training Feedback (HR → Employee Lifecycle → Training Feedback) — Employee ratings and comments on the training session.
  • Training Result (HR → Employee Lifecycle → Training Result) — Pass/fail outcomes and scores for training assessments.

Skills

8. Employee Skill Map

Go to: HR → Employee Lifecycle → Employee Skill Map

Track the skills each employee possesses, their proficiency level, and when they were acquired.

Open Employee Skill Map Form

Navigate to HR → Employee Lifecycle → Employee Skill Map and click New.

Fill in Skill Details

EmployeeSelect the employee
SkillThe skill name (e.g., Python, Project Management)
ProficiencyBeginner / Intermediate / Advanced / Expert
Evaluation DateWhen the skill was assessed

Save

Click Save.

Employee skill maps help HR identify training gaps and match employees to the right projects or roles.
