Statements and Balances
Go to: Financials → Reports → Financial Reports
Financial statements
| Report | What it shows | Key filters |
|---|---|---|
| Balance Sheet | Assets, liabilities, and equity at a date | Fiscal/date selection and supported dimensions |
| Income Statement | Income, expenses, and profit/loss over a period | Start/End Fiscal Year, Cost Centers |
| Cash Flow Statement | Operating, investing, and financing cash movement | Start/End Fiscal Year, Cost Centers |
Balance Sheet
Use the Balance Sheet for financial position. The fundamental check is:
Assets = Liabilities + Equity
Expand account sections to find the balances behind each total. Export PDF when available after filters are final.
Income Statement
Use the Income Statement to explain profitability. Compare its income and expense accounts with General Ledger for the same period and Cost Centers.
Cash Flow Statement
Cash Flow reorganizes ledger activity by cash-flow purpose. It is not the same as the Income Statement because non-cash activity and timing differ.
Trial Balance and Ledger Balance
| Report | Best use |
|---|---|
| Trial Balance | Confirm total debit and credit balances and review all accounts together |
| Ledger Balance | Review balances for selected accounts in detail |
Trial Balance should balance overall. A balanced Trial Balance does not prove every account, party, dimension, or date is correct.
Closing sequence
- Run Trial Balance.
- Review Balance Sheet and Income Statement.
- Reconcile Cash Flow to cash/bank activity.
- Investigate accounts through Ledger Reports.
- Resolve all differences before Period Closing.
Keep Fiscal Year, date, Cost Center, and currency settings aligned when comparing statements.
