Sales Team

Go to: CRM → Selling → Sales Teams

A sales team record is a sales person — or a group of them. Teams are arranged in a hierarchy, so you can model regions, branches, and reporting lines, and each member carries a commission rate and optional sales targets.

Sales teams are maintained in CRM, but they are consumed by Sales: you allocate them on the Customer record and on the Sales Order Other Details tab.

How it fits together

Every organisation has a single root node that all teams hang off. It is created automatically and cannot be edited or deleted.

Creating a sales team member

Open the screen

Go to CRM → Selling → Sales Teams and click Add Sales Team.

Name the member

Member Name is required and must be unique within the organisation.

Choose the parent team

Leave it empty to sit directly under the root, or pick a group. The parent must be marked Is Group.

Select the ERPX user this sales person is. Only active users holding the Sales Manager, Sales Officer, or Admin role can be selected, and a user can be linked to only one sales team record.

Set the commission rate

Commission Rate (%) is required. It feeds the incentive calculation on customers and orders.

Choose the settings

Turn on Is Group if this record will have children under it. Turn on Is Active so it appears in assignment pickers.

Add targets (optional)

On the Targets tab, add a target row per item group and fiscal year.

Using a sales team

On a customer

The customer’s Sales Team tab assigns the people who own the account and splits their share:

ColumnWhat it means
Team MemberThe sales team record
Contact NoPulled from the member
Contribution (%)Their share of this customer’s business
Commission Rate (%)Rate applied to that share
IncentivesCalculated from contribution and commission rate

On a sales order

The order’s Other Details tab carries the same grid, so a single order can be credited to a different split from the customer default — for example when a colleague covered the deal.

Contribution must total 100% across all rows, within a 0.5% rounding tolerance. The footer shows the running total and tells you whether you are over or under. There is a control to distribute 100% evenly across the rows.
