Manufacturing Reports
Open Manufacturing → Reports.
Start with the question you need to answer. The reports are grouped below by production progress, cost, material, people, capacity, and subcontracting.
Most reports open with the current month selected. Set the filters, select Generate Report, and then expand a row when you need the underlying detail. The available PDF and CSV actions export the filtered result, not every record in the system.
Production reports
Job Card Report
This is the detailed activity report for job cards. The results are grouped by work order, which makes it possible to review all operations belonging to one production run without opening the cards separately.
The report includes the operation, card status, assigned employees, workstation, target and completed quantity, planned time, actual time, and the time recorded in each working session. Pause and downtime information helps explain why actual time is higher than planned time.
Filter by date and one or more work orders. Use the report:
- during a shift review to see which operations are waiting, running, paused, or completed;
- when a work order is delayed and you need to find the operation holding it back;
- to check whether operators recorded start, pause, resume, and completion time correctly; or
- to support a correction when a time log or completed quantity looks wrong.
Work Order Summary
The Work Order Summary gives one line for every work order in the selected period. It is the quickest report for checking the overall state of production.
Each row shows the item, BOM, planned quantity, produced quantity, pending quantity, status, planned dates, actual dates, project, and whether the work is delayed. The totals at the top combine planned, produced, and pending quantities and count delayed orders.
Filter by date, status, production item, BOM, project, or a specific work order. Use it for the daily production meeting, to prepare a list of overdue orders, or to confirm how much of a customer’s order is still pending. A delayed row means the expected date has passed while the produced quantity is still below the planned quantity.
Production Traceability
Production Traceability follows a batch through manufacturing. First select a batch-controlled item and a batch number, then choose Backward, Forward, or Full trace.
- Backward shows where the batch came from, including raw-material batches, purchase receipts, suppliers, stock entries, and earlier manufacturing stages.
- Forward shows where the batch went, including later production, stock movements, deliveries, and customers where available.
- Full combines both directions.
The report also includes work orders, job-card operations, employees, workstations, manufacturing dates, quantities, warehouses, and linked source documents. Use the tree view to follow the sequence and the detail tabs to review materials, suppliers, origins, operations, or movements.
Use this report for a quality complaint, recall, batch investigation, or audit. For example, start with a finished batch to identify the raw-material batches and machines used, or start with a suspect raw-material batch to find every finished batch that may contain it.
Transaction Chain
The Transaction Chain follows document links rather than batch movement. Start with a manufacturing document and the report shows the documents created before and after it, including production plans, work orders, manufacturing entries, stock entries, and accounting records where linked.
Use it when you know the document number but need to understand the full transaction. It is helpful when checking whether a stock entry was created, tracing a work order back to its sales or production plan, or finding the financial record produced by a manufacturing movement.
Production Traceability and Transaction Chain answer different questions. Production Traceability follows the physical batch. Transaction Chain follows the business documents.
Item Wise Production Report
This report groups production by finished item instead of listing work orders first. For each item it totals the number of work orders, completed work orders, in-process work orders, delayed work orders, planned quantity, produced quantity, pending quantity, and average completion percentage.
Expand an item to see the work orders included in its totals, along with their dates, status, quantities, completion percentage, and delay flag. Filter by date, status, or one or more production items.
Use it when management wants a product-level view, such as how many units of an item were planned and completed this month. It is also useful for finding an item with a large backlog before opening the individual work orders.
Production Cost Report
The Production Cost Report is a period report based on weighted-average process costing. It is not a simple list of work-order variances. The report brings together production units and costs for the selected date range.
It is organised into five parts:
- Units to be accounted for: beginning WIP units plus units started during the period.
- Units accounted for: units completed and transferred to finished goods, plus ending WIP units.
- Equivalent units: the portion of material, labour, and overhead applied to completed output and unfinished production.
- Cost per equivalent unit: direct material, direct labour, overhead, and salary cost per equivalent unit.
- Cost assignment: cost assigned to completed production and cost left in ending WIP.
The report also shows electricity, consumables, and rent from workstation rates; processed salary cost; selected expense-account balances; total manufacturing cost; and cost per unit. Filter by date, production items, employees, and expense accounts.
Use it at month end or another accounting cut-off to value completed production and WIP. Before relying on the result, make sure manufacturing entries, job-card time, workstation rates, salary slips, and the selected expense accounts have been recorded for the same period.
Work Order Planned vs Actual Cost
This report compares the original work-order estimate with what was recorded during production. Each row shows planned and actual material cost, planned and actual operation cost, total variance, and variance percentage.
Expand a work order to see where the difference came from:
- the material section compares required quantity and BOM rate with the actual transferred quantity and transfer rate; and
- the operation section compares planned time and hour rate with actual job-card time and the rate of the workstation used.
Filter by date, work order, item, BOM, or work-order status. Use it after or near the end of a run to investigate overspending, unexpected material usage, longer operation time, or a workstation rate that differs from the estimate. A positive variance means the actual cost is higher than planned; a negative variance means it is lower.
Production Traceability, Transaction Chain, Production Cost Report, and Work Order Planned vs Actual Cost are shown to administrators because they include detailed traceability or cost information.
BOM reports
BOM Operation Report
The BOM Operation Report compares the operation standard stored in the BOM with the result recorded on job cards. It shows the BOM, work order, operation, workstation type, planned and actual time, time variance, planned and actual operating cost, cost variance, and completed quantity.
Rows that exceed the planned time or cost are highlighted. The report also summarises total planned and actual time, total planned and actual cost, and the operations or workstations causing the largest delays.
Filter by date, one or more BOMs, one or more operations, workstation, or work order. Use it to:
- check whether the standard operation time on a BOM is still realistic;
- find a repeated bottleneck such as Cutting or Inspection;
- compare the same operation across different BOMs or work orders; or
- decide whether a workstation rate, routing, batch size, or standard time needs to be updated.
Raw Material Requirement Report
This report starts from active work orders and shows what material has not yet been transferred. For each material line it displays the work order and status, BOM, finished item, raw-material item, UOM, source warehouse, total required quantity, transferred quantity, and pending required quantity.
The pending figure is calculated as the work-order requirement minus the quantity already transferred. It is therefore a production issue list, not a forecast for work orders that have not been created.
Filter by date, work orders, finished items, or raw-material items. Use it to prepare a material transfer for the next shift, send a consolidated shortage list to Purchasing, or find work orders that cannot continue because material has not reached WIP. Check the source warehouse and any partial transfers before treating every pending quantity as a purchase requirement.
BOM Stock Report
The BOM Stock Report answers whether a proposed quantity can be made from the stock currently available. Select a BOM, enter Qty to Produce, and optionally limit the check to one warehouse.
For each BOM material, the report shows:
- the quantity stated in the BOM and its UOM;
- the conversion to the item’s stock UOM;
- the scaled requirement for the quantity you entered;
- available stock after reservations;
- whether the stock is sufficient;
- fixed-consumption treatment; and
- unit cost and inventory value.
The summary counts sufficient and insufficient material lines and shows whether production can proceed. Use this report before committing to a run, especially when the BOM uses a batch quantity or a different UOM from the stock item. It is a point-in-time check, so run it again if stock has moved since the first check.
The BOM Stock Report is a check before production starts. The Raw Material Requirement Report is used after work orders exist. Running the wrong report at the wrong stage can make the shortage figure confusing.
Planning reports
Operation Planned Report
The Operation Planned Report groups job cards by operation. For example, all Cutting cards appear together even when they belong to different work orders. Each card shows the finished item, work order, status, target and completed quantity, planned and actual start and end times, planned and actual minutes, workstation, assigned employees, and sequence number.
The summary totals the operations, job cards, planned and actual minutes, planned quantity, completed quantity, earliest start, and latest end. Switch to the timeline when the order and overlap of jobs are easier to understand visually.
Filter by date, operation, work order, or job-card status. Use it to prepare the queue for one production area, check whether too many jobs are planned for the same operation, find gaps in the schedule, or compare scheduled time with the time already recorded.
Employee Planned Report
The Employee Planned Report uses the same job-card schedule but groups it by employee. Each row includes the work order, item, operation, status, target and completed quantity, planned and actual dates, planned and actual time, workstation, assigned users, and sequence.
The totals show how many employees and job cards are included, the planned and actual minutes, planned and completed quantities, and the date range covered by the assignments. The timeline makes overlapping assignments easier to spot.
Filter by date, employee, work order, or status. Use it before a shift to check who is assigned to each job, balance work between employees, find someone who has been booked on overlapping cards, or see who still has room for another assignment. An unassigned job card will not appear under an employee, so check the Job Card list as well when work seems to be missing.

Performance reports
Employee Performance Summary
This report groups job-card activity under each employee. It shows the job card, work order, operation, status, target quantity, completed quantity, planned time, total actual card time, and the time logged by that employee. The employee totals combine planned time, actual time, employee time, and completed quantity across the selected cards.
Filter by date, work order, or employee. Use it for a daily, weekly, or monthly review of the work recorded by each person. Expand an employee to find the job card responsible for an unusual total. The employee time can differ from the job card’s actual time when several people worked on the same card, so do not treat the two fields as interchangeable.
Employee Job Performance
Employee Job Performance starts with the operation and then groups employees under it. For each employee it totals the number of job cards, assigned quantity, completed quantity, and person-minutes recorded for that operation. The operation total counts each distinct job card once, even when several employees worked on it.
Filter by date, operation, or employee. Use it when you need to compare results for people doing the same type of work, check where most labour time is being spent, or identify an operation where additional training may be needed.
Quantity alone is not a fair comparison when employees worked on different items, batch sizes, or machines. Review the underlying job cards and operation standards before using this report for performance decisions.
Time and quantity depend on job-card entries. Check missing or incorrect time logs before using these reports for a performance review.
Subcontracting reports
Subcontracting Order Summary
This is the main status report for outsourced production. Each row shows the subcontracting order, supplier, transaction date, required-by date, status, total quantity, total amount, percentage received, number of items, and number of supplied items.
The summary gives total orders, total amount, total quantity, completed orders, and pending orders. Filter by date, order status, supplier, or finished item.
Use it for the regular supplier-work review. It helps answer which orders are open, which supplier has the most work outstanding, which orders have passed their required date, and how much of an order has been received. Once an order needs action, use one of the two reports below to see whether the delay is in the outgoing material or the incoming goods.
Materials To Be Transferred
This report lists raw material that your company still needs to send to a supplier. Each row includes the subcontracting order, supplier, raw-material item, finished item, required quantity, supplied quantity, pending transfer quantity, UOM, and transaction date.
Filter by date, supplier, subcontracting order, or raw-material item. Use it to prepare a dispatch, combine material for several orders going to the same supplier, or investigate an order that has not moved beyond approval.
The pending transfer is required quantity minus supplied quantity. It does not mean the supplier owes that quantity back. After the material has been sent, follow the returned production in Items To Be Received.
Items To Be Received
This report lists finished or semi-finished goods that suppliers have not yet returned. Each row shows the subcontracting order, supplier, item, ordered quantity, received quantity, pending receipt quantity, UOM, expected delivery date, order status, and transaction date.
Filter by date, supplier, subcontracting order, or finished item. Use it to follow up overdue supplier work, plan warehouse receiving and inspection, or reconcile the stock still held at supplier warehouses.
The pending receipt is ordered quantity minus received quantity. Partial receipts remain on the report until the full order quantity is received or the order is otherwise closed. Check old pending rows against the supplier’s physical balance because the related raw material is still company stock.
Live views

The Manufacturing Dashboard updates through a live connection, so it can remain open on a shared display. Monitor the Alerts panel for stalled runs and capacity problems that need attention.
