Chart of Accounts
Go to: Financials → Chart of Accounts
The Chart of Accounts is the foundation of your financial system. It defines the hierarchy of all accounts used to record transactions.
Account Types
| Type | Category | Example |

| Asset | Current | Cash, Bank, Receivables |
| Asset | Fixed | Equipment, Property |
| Liability | Current | Payables, Short-term Loans |
| Liability | Long-term | Mortgages, Bonds |

| Income | — | Sales Revenue, Interest Income |
| Expense | — | COGS, Salaries, Rent |
Creating an Account
Navigate to Chart of Accounts
Go to Financials → Chart of Accounts and click New.
Fill in Account Details
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Account Number | Unique numeric identifier (e.g., 1100) |
| Account Name | Descriptive name (e.g., Accounts Receivable) |
| Account Type | Asset / Liability / Equity / Income / Expense |
| Parent Account | The parent group this account belongs to |
| Currency | Account currency (defaults to company currency) |
| Is Group | Whether this is a group account (cannot post to it) |
Save
Click Save.

Go to: Financials → Cost Centers
Cost centers allow you to track income and expenses against specific departments, projects, or business units.
Assign cost centers to transactions to get a breakdown of profitability by department or project.
